Different time for reminders in the task set up

When you set up a task, lets say meeting on Sunday 5pm, we should be able to set up reminder at a different time or even a day. Right now the reminder activates at the time of the task. What is the point of reminding me at 5pm that I have the meeting at 5pm? All CRMs that I know have that feature. Right now I have to set up 2 tasks: one for the task and one for the reminder. Makes no sense.
