Bulk Creation/Import of Transactions

I wish there was a way to add/import transactions in bulk. We are migrating a lot of active contacts with whom we are having to go in manually to create deals/transactions. Would be nice to be able to map these fields during import. Also, adding contacts in bulk to a specific transaction stage would be helpful especially if there was a way to pull info from contact fields that could help populate some of the form information.
