Show error when I don't add an email address

I just sent an email from LionDesk without adding an email address to send the email to. Yet, it said that it successfully sent. I think it would be best if an error appeared reminding us to add an email address. *If the email button is clicked from within a contact, does that mean it is automatically sending the email to that contact? If so, I think it would be helpful to have the email address box auto-populate so there is no confusion.
