Ability to attach document from "Documents" to emails, text, etc.

The ability to retrieve a document from the "Documents" section of the system. Each time I type an email and want to add a document, the system automatically assumes the document I want to attach is on my drive or folder on my computer. I have placed documents in LionDesk which the team uses all the time. Why can't the system give me the documents folder as an option for document retrieval?
