I uploaded a CSV file from my Iphone which had the last name of the individual in the first name field. After uploading it to Lion Desk, I wanted to clean up the names so that the last names were all in the last name field, but when editing the names in the Lion Desk contacts, they show up all in one field and I was unable to distinquish wether they were in the first name or last name field.

By default, the Contacts page will display the first and last names of your contacts in the same field. You can customize your contacts page to show them as separate fields. I added a help article below that will show you how to customize your contact fields:
